Xzotika Afghans

Purebred Afghan Hounds, home raised and ready to show

What to Expect

Be prepared to lose food off of your plate, your cabinets to be opened, and a will so strong that you know the dog is ultimately leveraging themself to take over your house hold. Afghans help themselves, they don’t ask. Depending on their mood will depend on how fast they come to you when they are called. Despite all of this they are a joy to be around, and have some of the most comical personalities you will ever come across. Your main job when you own an Afghan Hound is to nurture their unique personalities and keep them bathed and blown out. The best thing you can do for your afghan before it comes to your home is to purchase professional grooming tools. You can find the list and links under our resources page.

Our Afghans come with an expectation of care contract. You can see our contracts here.

Health Testing – Here is how everyone that owns an Xzotika dog is able to do their part for the betterment of the breed globally. All owners of Xzotika dogs are required to conduct health testing that is set forth in your quality of care contract. This health testing can detect issues early on in your dogs so that they do not become larger issues later in life. It also helps us as the breeders of these dogs to have a better picture of the health statistics within our litters when they are all being tested as opposed to a select few. This testing can cost between $400 – $1,000 depending on the veterinary practice. Please contact us and we can help you find a vet in your area to perform this exam.

This is a rare breed with less than 300 Afghan Hounds registered with the AKC last year.
